i'm not going to be able to make this week's gathering, and i also didn't really come up with much in the way of acts. here's what i got:

1 - girl scouts...surely they can do something in their uniforms. double dutch? earn a badge? hand out cookies? btw, the french immersion school academie layfette has a double dutch group...just thought if we want more kids involved...

2 - dancers of india...i think that's what they're called. they performed @ boulevard yoga this year and although i didn't see them, heard they were excellent. not sure of the tone

3 - i liked the idea of getting some native american tribe (or maybe even some dedicated pagan group) to come dance or do something with feathers and theatrics, as long as no live sacrifices are involved. don't want it to be too intense...

4 - kansas city juggling club

5 - what about those dudes that ride triple welded bike frames around westport? anyone know them? those could be fun to have towering around

6 - old ladies (real or fake) sitting around knitting something ridculous and large wearing curlers, house slippers, bath robe...
